DESIGN

This month has been quite a rollercoaster, both completing existing contracts while completing research for forthcoming ones!

I was able to take time out to take relatives visiting from the US to some fab exhibitions, museums and places of interest that I often (ironically) don't have the chance to visit as often as I would like to, so able to conduct some unexpected periods on initial research from current exhibitions - win, win!

My recent involvement with the Lead Creative Schools in association with the Arts Council (Wales) has recently concluded for this first phase and it has been a pleasure to be involved with such a fab initiative.

On completion of my final evaluation which I submitted this month, I had the opportunity to reflect on what had been achieved by the students, schools involved and also myself as a Creative Practitioner and how it has impacted on my own design practice.  I can definitely see positive outcomes from it already in regard to my own professional development and I hope to be involved again in phase 2/next year.

HEALTH & FITNESS

I was proud to be invited to take part in the Elevate Show in London on the 10th/11th May.

Once again, I had a great time demo'ing the fab latest products by Octane Fitness and also been able to undertake some design research with a particular focus on cycling and dance wear for some interesting projects I have in the pipeline.

With a sportswear/sportswear-inspired range planned for the near future, I have a forthcoming  period of intense tests that will be conducted as I need to ensure the performance and durability of selected fabrics is of the high standard I require...More to follow soon!
