Humbled to have delivered a day of creative workshops to groups of pupils at Welcombe Hills School with a range of comples Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, Severe Learning Difficulties &/or Autistic Spectrum Disorder as part of the 'Threads' programme, in my role as Freelance Costume/Craft Practitioner for The Royal Shakespeare Company.
'Threads' - a series of outreach & engagement activity which takes the Royal Shakespeare Company costume making history out of the workshop.

It was an honour to have been selected as 1 of just 6 artists commissioned by Assembly House in conjunction with Heritage Corner to be showcased in the finale event following a month long festival celebrating Black History in Leeds.
With research and access to private collections from the Museums in Leeds and support/insight into local history from Heritage Corner, this was an exceptionally rewarding commission which allowed me the perfect opportunity to broaden my creative practise, techniques and creative response to the brief. Additional images and background story/techniques to the main themes are currently on our social media sites and will be added to the website soon!

Other news
Pleased to share I passed my Mental Health First Aid course this month. This is going to be invaluable to the increasing number of courses and workshops I am delivering to support positive mental health and improve emotional wellbeing. It will also be an essential part of an exciting new programme soon to be launched with a local charity - more details to follow soon!
